Standard Pool Opening

  • Removal of small amounts of water and debris from cover
  • Remove Cover/ Lower Anchors
  • Fold/Roll pool cover and store on site
  • Install handrails and ladders
  • Remove all winter plugs and store on-site
  • Install directional fittings
  • Purge gas line and start heater (if applicable)
  • Check filter gauge
  • Backwash sand filter (if applicable)
  • Inspect and operate auto cleaner (if applicable)
  • Visual inspection of equipment system to check for leaks

Swimming Pool Drain and Clean

Pool water should be changed every 5-7 years. 

Sometimes pool water is so old or dirty it is a better choice to completely drain your swimming pool and power wash. If a pool is stained it may need a chlorine or light acid wash. 

  • Drain pool to street or sewer drain
  • Inspect for algae and metal stains
  • Power wash, acid wash, and/or chlorine wash pool
  • Inspect main drain cover and update (if necessary)
  • Leave hose on to fill the pool with fresh water (homeowner turns off water)  
  • Chemicals are an additional cost and can vary based on size and condition of pool
